GAHARA – meaning in Hindi “profound”- is a performance that explores the importance of roots and encounters between human beings, through an aesthetic inspired by nature and boosted by the most contemporary and poetic styles of urban dance. This show is a tribute to utopia: a floating space where alternative ways of inhabiting the universe can flourish. This original OAW’s production originates from the collaboration of two collectives of Italian and Tunisian dancers – INC and Ben’s Crew – led by the artistic direction of the choreographer Afshin Varjavandi.

GAHARA is the result of two artistic residences organized by OAW 2019 in Perugia (IT) at Centro Danza and in Tunis (TN).
